Visitor Q is the solo project of Mike Gallagher, who has performed around Edinburgh and Glasgow in breakcore/noise projects (Final Brass Rabbi, Dirty Husband), playing alongside electronica acts such as Cylob, Frog Pocket and Chevron.
Mike's interest is in the use of sound to create specific emotional states, and recent Visitor Q gigs have seen him using grinding drones, slow heavy beats and extreme sub bass to produce an atmosphere of dread, foreboding and fear. However, Mike's performance at Dialogues 2006 will be a much more delicate affair, building up harmonic textures from sine tones to envelop listeners in a warm, calming soundscape.
