Wounded Knee

Over the past two years, Wounded Knee has emerged as a prominent figure in central Scotland's experimental music scene. In addition to performing extensively, he has founded a micro label (Lapsed Electronics), organised a number of concerts and has curated a pair of high profile events - 'Pollen' in collaboration with E m e r g e D, a UK wide arts project, and two evenings of fringe events for the prestigious Instal experimental music festival in Glasgow.

His performances are always less than conventional in their creation and execution, but always demonstrate an uncommon depth of understanding and an ability to work meaningfully in a number of different styles. He can be found using conventional instruments in unconventional ways in order to mix traditional styles (e.g. Scottish folk singing) with more contemporary approaches (e.g. feedback and drones).
