Xahdrez is sonic scientist Nick Wilsdon. An accomplished pianist and trumpeter, Nick's live performances include hacked and homemade controllers and circuit-bent toys.
In 2006 Nick participated in community music projects in Edinburgh, France and Bosnia, and provided the soundtracks and sound design for a number of short films and art installations, notably for the Next Wave Festival in Melbourne, Australia.
This is Nick's third appearance at Dialogues, and will showcase material from his debut "The Second Half Of Nothing" (Vacuous Pop), an ep of minimalist electronica where fragments of live instruments sit among distant spatial soundscapes, alongside other recent work.
