I am now using paul farringdon's "soundtoy" software (he's just released a free os X version AT LAST!) to remix my own work but also to premier work where I raided charity shops near the Queen's Hall to transform children's records, recordings of victorian music boxes and old telecommunications samples.
My set has a pre-recorded backbone created specially for the festival but with other material mixed from ipods and a laptop running a butchered version of soundtoy. It is influenced by Philip Jeck, Gescom and usual suspects...
