Hannes Raffaseder

Hannes Raffaseder (Austria) born in Freistadt 1970, lives in Vienna. Studied communication engineering at the Technical University in Vienna. Lessons in composition, improvisation, piano and computer music. Course on electroacoustics and computer music at the University of Music in Vienna. He is teaching at the polytechnical college for mediatechnologie in Hagenberg (Upper Austria). His book on "Audiodesign" is published by Fachbuchverlag Leipzig, Carl Hanser Verlag.

Founder member of several Jazz and improvisation bands. One of his recent projects is an improvising Duo with the British composer Martin Parker. Hannes has written chamber music and jazz tunes, computer music, orchestral works and, sound installations, music for the theatre and film. He did different multimedia- and web-projects in cooperation with several artists. Performances in the Vienna Concert House, the Vienna Musikverein, the festival Wien Modern, the Brucknerhaus Linz, Leighton House London, Edinbrugh. Some of his works are recorded on CD, broadcast and published by Musikverlag Doblinger, Wien.
